Eat around the mountain
Restaurants in Mount Shasta, Weed & McCloud
A meal around Mount Shasta can mean a downtown burger after a hike, coffee before a drive, dinner at a historic hotel, or a roadside stop in Weed. This directory brings three nearby communities together while keeping the choices in their actual towns. Start with the place that fits your day's route, then open the business's own website or social page to check its current menu and service. The listings below are a curated starting point, not a ranking or a complete census of every kitchen in South Siskiyou.

Choose a town that fits the day
Mount Shasta's dining choices include the North Mount Shasta Boulevard corridor, Chestnut Street cafes and restaurants farther toward Lake Siskiyou. Weed works well as its own stop when your trip follows Interstate 5 or Highway 97. McCloud adds Main Street dining and coffee stops to a day on the mountain's southeast side. Check the address before driving; a restaurant with Shasta in its name is not necessarily in Mount Shasta city.
Mount Shasta restaurants
Compare downtown meals, coffee, resort dining and a seasonal outdoor beer garden.
Weed restaurants
Find diner breakfasts, bakery stops, pizza, Indian food and Lao and Asian dishes.
McCloud restaurants
Plan a cafe break, pizza stop, burgers or dinner at McCloud Hotel.
Make the meal part of the plan
Before a trail day, make sure you have the food and water you need independently of any restaurant reservation. Afterward, leave time to get back to town, change out of wet gear and arrive before the kitchen closes. A posted closing time can refer to the building or bar rather than the kitchen, so ask the business if timing matters.
Use the business links for today's hours, reservations, takeout and dietary questions. Ask directly about allergies, cross-contact, dogs, outdoor seating and group size. Menus and ownership change, and seasonal outdoor businesses may close for months. These cards do not make an open-now promise, copy review scores or imply that a business sponsors VisitShasta.
