Gray Butte
A compact summit with a huge south-flank panorama.
Gray Butte rises south of Panther Meadows, with a trail connection from the campground and views toward Mount Shasta and the surrounding ranges. Its radio installations and weather station distinguish it from Green Butte across the bowl.

Approach
The Forest Service links the Gray Butte trail from Panther Meadows Campground. Follow signs and stay off fragile meadow vegetation.
